However you do this, don't miss out!!!! ...more Grass Roots Programme welcomes new import pitcher, Carrie Wisen ...more Welcome to the Grass Roots Softball website!The Grass Roots Fastpitch Programme began in January 2003 with seven schools. Since then the programme has expanded to seven areas and well over 25 teams, and continues to grow year by year, although our aim is always to produce quality rather than quantity! The regional leagues play in Under-13 and Under-16 age groups during the spring/summer, with indoor leagues during the winter. There is also a tournament event in the Grass Roots National Championships, normally held in July. Additionally, an Under-13 and Under-16 School of Excellence travels abroad. This website works closely with baseballsoftballuk.com, the central website for all news and results from baseball and softball across the United Kingdom. However, the aim is for this site to develop as the up-to-date resource for all Grass Roots news and documents.
